Upload WhatsApp's .txt export, or the ZIP it makes with the media inside. If you only need part of the chat, limit the analysis to a date range, and the report says so. A long chat is split into parts in date order and written up as one report. The free preview of a very long chat is based on an evenly spaced sample of its messages.
The analysis itself runs in the background, and a long chat, or one with a lot of voice notes, takes longer. There is no fixed time: you can close the tab and come back to your dashboard.
What the numbers mean, and don't
Group members become Participant A, Participant B and so on before the AI reads the chat, and the real names come back only when you open the report in your own account. Every member's messages are counted and timed the same way, and the written profiles cover the six busiest members. Message share is a count, not a measure of who matters most or who cares more.
Questions people ask
- Can I analyse just part of a group chat?
- Yes. When you upload, you can limit the analysis to a date range. The report then says that only the selected range was analysed.
- How long does a group chat take to analyse?
- There is no fixed time. It depends on how long the chat is and how much media you attach, because each voice note is transcribed and each image described separately. Analysis runs as a background job, so you can close the tab and come back to your dashboard.
- Which report type suits a group?
- Behavioural pattern detection covers message frequency, reply timing and recurring patterns. Relationship analysis covers communication patterns and how the balance between people shifts. Neither scores anyone.
- Are the other members' names sent to the AI?
- Participant names, phone numbers, email addresses and links in the chat text are replaced with labels before the AI reads it. Voice notes and images can't be anonymised, so the files themselves are sent if you attach them. You confirm you are allowed to analyse the chat before you upload it.
